Jacky: Gorgeous as nudibranchs are, my favorite mollusc is the
cuttlefish -- not only do they look like little ET spaccraft as they
manoeuvre in the water, a light show continually plays over their skin.
What it means, no one seems to know, but it presumably they're
communicating their internal states to other cuttlefish.

Kraig: Erv has two keyboard patents, 3,342,094 of Sept 19, 1967 and an
earlier one 3,012,460 of Dec 12, 1961. I think both should be posted
when you have time.

It was conjected at the aquarium I was visiting that they also
used this trick to dazzle or hypnotize their prey. They had a
film of a cuttlefish imitating the opening of 'The Time Machine'
television series before taking apart a crab.
