Bach in the New York Times

In today's issue in the Weekend Section (E), page 26, Bernard Holland while reviewing recordings of "The Well-Tempered Clavier" notes that "The well-tempered method is not quite the equal temperament generally accepted now, but it is a direct predecessor." Of course, he doesn't mention any recordings using the method that Bach used.
Perhaps even the Times will someday learn how to spell Werckmeister.
