Multi-tone generator

I would like to create a polyphonic (maybe up to 8 voices) tone
generator using a MIDI keyboard connected to a laptop where each key on
the keyboard could be programmed to produce a sinewave at an arbitrary
frequency from 10 Hz to 4800 Hz with an accuracy of about 0.1 cents.
Does anyone know of such a program?

Fred Reinagel, what a blast from the past! How are you? Still
making the VioLab tuner? Mine broke for some reason, some years
back.

I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like the free TestTone
plugin here
http://mda.smartelectronix.com
claims to do what you want (you'll need a VST host).

A friend made a 4 or 6 operator vsti in a program (synth edit) that I'm trying to find. My intent was to do additive synthesis but would work for you too. Ill post it as soon as I find it.
