This shows
A) A melody under the tuning using all 9 notes of a 9-note scale
B) A transposed version of the exact same melody

It sounds very close to my ears, but a bit stressed in some parts.
Any suggestions how to remove the stressed sounding parts (which
mostly seem to involve notes 24/16 and 25/16, at least to my ears)?

The 9-tone scale used is
1 16/16(1)
1.125 = 18/16(9/8)
1.1875 = 19/16
1.3125 = 21/16
1.375 = 22/16(11/8)
1.5 = 24/16(3/2)
1.5625 = 25/16
1.6875 = 27/16
1.8125 = 29/16

And the 14 note tuning is simply all harmonics x/16 where x = 16 to
31...EXCLUDING the two harmonics 30/16 (1.875) and 26/16.
