Machaut, all-mens'-voice
http://www.alpha-prod.com/readmorecd.php?id=326

listening to the sample track, sounds like some pure thirds in there
occasionally among the Pythagoreanism...

& Praetorius organ works
http://www.alpha-prod.com/readmorecd.php?id=265

- a rare, in my experience, example of meantone organ recording where
the pure intervals are clearly audible.

Thanks, Tom. Both of these sound like great recordings,
especially the Praetorius -- I can tell it's a great
organ recording, even besides the nice tuning. Maybe I'll
pick these up.

Very nice. I'm actually trying to recall who was there first, whether Praetorius or Dowland -- it seems I can hear some bits of "Can she excuse my wrongs" there.

Ah, 19 Euros is what we pay for *any* new classical recording with
that level of sound engineering these days. That's why I seldom buy
anything new...
I sympathize with Americans trying to buy directly from EU, but they
generally market it at a different rate in dollars 'over there' -

Somehow the cheapest way to obtain European-made CDs in Europe is from
a vendor in Florida. Or eBay.
