I'm afraid it means just they didn't want the other one, not they wanted this one.

I would be rather sceptical and careful in judgments. OK, he's young, clever, hopefully he will select good team, but it's just a beginning. He is expected to solve a lot of problems, but he is not Jesus Christ or what, just a fragile human being as we all are. Besides, he has two big problems (minimally to some people, me not): he is not enough white and not enough black. Let's see what will come with him.

Obama rhymes with Osama :-)
