Manuel Op de Coul quotes Werckmeister:

> Wann C-G. G-d. D-A. A-e. so

"The third C-e as high as the ear can support." That's exactly the
contradiciton with the tuning procedure of Herman Greunke in Benade's
Fundamentals of Musical Acoustics. Greunke wants C-E to be a perfect
(zero-beat) major third. So I'll use my Korg for the Werckmeister III and
keep continuing using he other tuning, but simply won't call it Werckmeister
III. Thanks, Manuel!

Thanks Johnny, for your comments on *our* Werckmeister. As you see Manuel's
reply to your post provided his and Werckmeister's answer to my question.

I was wondering if he (Werckmeister) was saying that the number of beats
should be the same for every lowered fifth, or something like that.
Appearently he didn't.
