Since things have been somewhat quiet on these Lists, I though I would speak
about this Saturday's MicroFest concert in NYC, the first of 4.

The tuning of the piano is in Vallotti tuning, which was first announced to
the world by Tartini. To this end, we present the "Devil's Trill" sonata in
Vallotti.

Manfred Stahnke's "Partota" prefers Vallotti tuning, and is very much
influenced by Charles Ives. Manfred's piano solo effects the 2 bands marching at
different directions very well by using 2 sizes of notehead.

The Brahms "Horn Trio" on natural horn in Vallotti. I first heard Brahms in
Vallotti tuning at Manfred Stahnke's house in Hamburg. Wow! There was even
an improvisation with about 7 people.

Additionally, there is a solo violin work "Hudba" by Alois Haba, a
Penderecki "Minatury", Ferree's "Forgotten" for natural horn solo, and Chiari's fluxus
"Intervalli" for piano.

Soloists for the evening are pianist Joshua Pierce, violinist Dan Auerbach,
and hornist James Ferree. Please join me if you can in the audience. There
are 3 more concerts to come. To see details, please visit:
