Victory of Xenophonia

Did anyone else here in cyberville have the feeling that the millennial
television coverage (Please, TWO n's in millennial, it's a bugbear...) was
a great victory for our beloved xenophonia?? I, frankly, never watch
television, but this occasion prompted lots of apparently "untempered"
(also non-"EDOed") kinds of music for millions of viewers. There's no
going back... the world's ears are awash... (??)
