Johnny's new Cage/Riley/Reinhard/Corner CD

Congrats to Johnny Reinhard on this recent release
http://cdbaby.com/cd/pitchrecs4
given an appreciative review in the January/February issue of
_American
Record Guide_. It's on page 82, listed under "Cage".

The ARG review doesn't tell us much except that the reviewer enjoyed
the compositions and their contrasts, and the enthusiastic
performances. It says for the Cage piece (mistakenly) that it uses
semitones divided into six parts...but he's apparently overlooked the
endpoints -- intervals are spanned regions, not a count of
intervening notes! -- , and it's sevenths of a semitone (i.e. 84EDO)
according to that CDBaby page. The review doesn't provide much
detail about the instrumentation of three of the four pieces,
either. But he liked the album.

I'm especially interested in the performance of Riley's "In C",
recommissioned in 1988 to use just intonation...and performed here by
an ensemble of plucked strings. What are the changes to the melodic
fragments from the classic version, if any, and what specific just-
intonation scale did Riley use here? Or, did he leave some of that
latter choice to the performers?

Johnny might answer this, but I think just the tuning was changed
to a seven limit tuning.

Thanks Brad and thanks David:

Terry Riley did a 7-limit version, with each ratio included on top of the
same given notes of the score.
The original just intonation version also had Indian solfege for what was
then a projection of 2 sopranos. Of course, the John Schneider lead
instrumental version is mainly for plucked instruments:
2 guitars (1 a pulse), harpsichord, viola, Kanon (La Plante version).

BTW, if anyone can send me a copy of these reviews, it will be appreciated.
I saw there is also a review for the new PITCH cd Electronical on the AMG
web site.

Anybody hear the new Jon Catler or Joshua Pierce or Skip La Plante CD?

Johnny
