Acoustic instruments in different tunings?

Hello everyone.

Maybe someone of you here could help me. I'm trying to find two recordings
of the same piece of music, one played in 12-EDO and the other one in some
kind of meantone -- something in the range from 1/4 to 2/7-comma would be
just what I'm looking for. The matter is simply that a friend of mine has
asked me to demonstrate the differences between 12-EDO and something closer
to JI. The reason why I'd like to have recordings of acoustic instruments
playing this is that if I do this on my synth, some people may immediately
turn their attention to the fact that there are "not-too-high-quality
samples" being used there instead of listening to the intervals and chords.
I was also trying to find some kind of hardware sampler with more RAM that
could serve better but these are often unexpectedly difficult to tune into
something else than 12-EDO. That's why I finally went for the idea of using
recordings of whole pieces played on acoustic instruments. Any suggestions
for these?

Hi Petr,

This doesn't exactly meet your needs, necessarily, but it may be helpful: I wrote a little piece last year called "Sunday Afternoon", which I composed in 12-EDO, and invited people to render it in other tunings. Here's the page:

There's MIDI for the original version, along with versions by JL Smith (JI), Gene Ward Smith (31-EDO) and Charles Lucy (LucyTuning). These are all rendered in software, but they do provide an opportunity to compare different tunings as applied to the same piece of music.
