This is a poor example. The mainland SEAsian instrument makers reach an
approximation of seven equal by tempering until unlimited transposition is
possible. Likewise, the insular slendros and pelogs are tempered on the
instruments of ixed pitch until one is able to play in all keys (_pathet_).
In the end, one may not actually have a physical difference between an EDO
and a TET, but the terms do describe quite different conceptions of the tonal
systems.
