Hi all

Although 72 is historically and musically a good system but:
I need a framework based on 24-EDO with better approximation to reality of persian music performance,72 is 3*24 and 96 is 4*24 so i can have 4 size for my Korons and soris only in 96-EDO. for example , for median second i can have 4 sizes as 125 , 137.5 ,150 and 162.5 which the best minor third for 125 is 275 cent to have tetrachord of shur and so for 162.5 is 312.5.
so you see that 96-EDO is better for me than 72.
But about 7-limit : although for 7/4 i have an error of 6.1741 cent but it is not very different from JND and remember that This difference is not very important for me.
and about 18/17 it is very near to 100 cent of 72 and 96 and so , not a good reason for using 72.96 also have a good approximation of it like 72.
For me and besides 3-Limit , 96 has a good approximation for 5-Limit with a difference of 1.1863 cent from 5/4 and a good approximation for 11-limit with difference of -1.318 cent from 11/8 and a good approximation for 13-Limit with a difference of -3.0277 cent from 13/8 and a good approximation for 17-Limit with a difference of -4.955 cent from 17/16.
you know that for 17/16 and 11/8 , 96 and 72 act the same. But for some intervals like 11/7 ,72 may be is better but this difference is not important for me.
I think concepts such as musical culture(and therefore melody , harmony ,consonace ....) , personal taste and usefulness of a tuning system have effects on goodness of system besides limit.Isn't it so?

"Good" is a gross exaggeration. It's "good" in the sense that anything
that size is "good", but it's not even 7-limit consistent and the 7 is
about as bad as it can be for a division that fine. It will, of course,
serve--because it *is* that fine. But only for that reason.

In that size range, notable are 94 and 99. If you want divisibility by
12, 72 or possibly 84 are self-recommending.
