Hi dear johnny

and in advance i must thank you for your positive energy sent me.
but about 40-EDL , please have a look at http://240edo.googlepages.com/equaldivisionsoflength(edl <http://240edo.googlepages.com/equaldivisionsoflength(edl> ) to find more about system of Equal divisions of length and tanbour of baghdad.
I must say that 40-EDL as a kind of just intonation scales is based on superparticulars and has 20 divisions per octave as :

1/1 0
40/39 43.83105123
20/19 88.80069773
40/37 134.9696751
10/9 182.4037121
8/7 231.1740935
20/17 281.3583044
40/33 333.0407706
5/4 386.3137139
40/31 441.2781414
4/3 498.0449991
40/29 556.7365197
10/7 617.4878074
40/27 680.4487113
20/13 745.7860521
8/5 813.6862861
5/3 884.358713
40/23 958.0393666
20/11 1034.995772
40/21 1115.532807

I must ask which scales will be played? About the music to be composed for AFMM, it would be one of my glories. Can you tell me more about it?

Dear Mohajeri,

This is quite interesting! 40 notes per octave. I guess this is with frets on a long neck? Any details about the circumstances?

Thank you in advance. And please allow me to say, I love your music. I have just finished a new piece for bass trombone, wind quintet, and percussion. Throughout I balance a Georgian-derived scale for the wind quintet, in concert with the solo bass trombonist, who plays one of your earlier posted scales. First rehearsal for the May 2 concert is this Thursday. (As we say in New York, fingers crossed.)

If you have, or might compose, a work for multiple acoustic musicians for us to play on the next AFMM series, we would relish the opportunity to perform your music.

yours,

Johnny Reinhard
