DX7II cartridge tuning dump

Hi,

Forgive me if I've missed this in the list archives, but I'm trying to figure out how to make sense of the sysex file that results from doing a cartridge tuning dump from a DX7II. I'm trying to export a bunch of tuning data to import into FM7. I can view the resulting file in a raw sysex editor, but neither Scala nor FM7 see it as a valid file.

I've found lots of software that can send tuning data TO a DX, but I'm having no luck finding any that can receive tuning data from one.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

The Scala tuning dump is decipherable, albeit cryptic.
I suggest you look at what Scala thinks the sysex
should look like, and compare it to what it does
look like. If you see a long list of identical numbers
somewhere, that would be a great start.
