Makes sense to me. Good luck in your explorations. I should
listen to more Carillo.

72-et is one kind of eztension. 31-et is anoher. Each could claim to be
more like an extension of 12-et than the other.

Do you know his _Preludio a Colon_
(Prelude to [Christopher] Columbus)?
I believe it's Carrillo's most well-known piece,
and i know there was a recording available years ago
on vinyl (according to Wikipedia it was recorded as
long ago as 1933).

But i was not impressed with that LP when i heard it.
Johnny Reinhard's chamber orchestra did a fantastic
performance of it at an AFMM "Jewel" concert on 21 May 1997

And i presume it is this performance which has been
release on the "Chamber" CD:

Good luck finding more stuff by Carrillo ... AFAIK
it's pretty hard to find recordings of his work.

That clips sounds pretty good. I may have heard this piece
before, I'm not sure. The only Carillo I've heard is a few
web samples here and there, and something Denny played for
me once.

Maybe that's why I haven't heard it. And I should get
some Wyshnegradsky I suppose.
