Howdy tuners!

Good to see the tuning list alive and thriving after all these years.
I remember how instrumental this list was when I started exploring
microtones and thought I'd drop by, say "hi" and let you all know I've
kept working on the Digital ANS synthesizer off and on for these last
3 years (see /tuning/topicId_17364.html#17364
for a refresher).

I've been able to put alot of time into the program over the last few
months and worked out many of the bugs keeping me from using it
previously, to the point where I might actually write something other
than code soon!

Anyway, keep your ears peeled 'cuz I hope to be posting music/sounds
sometime next month after I get a bit of family business out of the way.

Regards,
Andy F.

p.s. Does anybody remember David Keenan's Stereo Dekany spreadsheet
from years ago? (my 'tuning-list' claim to fame :)

Of course. I keep in on my hard drive at all times. What was
your contribution?

Very little actually. Just the playback code. David had all the
numbers and graph done before I even started on it. Maybe not viable
for a claim to fame but it's all I got since I can't keep up with the
lingo and math here. hehe :)

It's all the claim you need with me. That thing rocks.

Hey Andy!

I only just learnt of your post earlier this year. Great to hear from
you after all these years.

If there is any fame to be had from the Tumbling Dekany (and I guess
there is, since it had three public "performances") you deserve a
major helping of that fame. Ideas are cheap. Implementation is everything.

Howdy tuners!

I'm still alive and very excited about the upcoming open-source
release of a program I first described many years ago on this list
/tuning/topicId_17364.html#17364.

I've dubbed it "MusiCAD" and it's a little different than what I first
described but the gist of it is the same. Unfortunately, it is still
an AutoCAD based plugin, but down the road I'm planning on rebuilding
it for Blender which is open-source and free!

I'm still spending the lion's share of my time writing code but did
manage to get some experimental sounds out over the summer, which can
be heard at http://www.audiosculptures.com. They're not "microtonal"
per-se but I find them interesting none-the-less.

I'm hoping to have MusiCAD buttoned up, documented, and uploaded to
Sourceforge by the first of the year. I'll keep you posted.

'Til then,
Regards,
Andy Fillebrown
