Public Apology/Socio-Economic Disclaimer, etc...

My apologies if my recent postings have struck
a majority of list members as being "out of line".

I'm 58 years old, homeless, unemployed, and living
on the street, and don't even have a set of headphones,
let alone an AM/FM radio or anything else musical other
than an occasional trip to the synthesizer section of
Best Buy or guitar center to play their synths.

That's the primary reason I'm "stuck" in
meta-theoretical/analytical pre-compositional
music theory space. :)

But it's also no surprise that pre-compositional
music theory is not accorded the level of respect
that it deserves in the musical "culture" (and I use
that word extremely loosely! :) ).

As if a bunch of MIDI files of reference melodies
are not as important as another silly-assed generic
dumb-flock "subjective" composition.

Sorry folks, I regard both 20th century modernist
and postmodernist composers to have utterly failed
in their responsibility to the evolution of mainstream
music theory and education.

Bill, why don't you consider earning a living, settling down into a space
your own and developing your ideas in a well-grounded and refined manner? If
you are having trouble fitting into society, I could get in touch with the
muslim community in your district for a possible induction into the
brotherhood of Islam as well. That way, you could abandon the ungratifying
life of a hobo and seriously commit yourself in zeal to the research into
these matters.

Cordially,
Oz.

Not really. The longest anchored time of his life was, I
believe, were his Gate 5 years in Sausalito. While not truly
homeless, he moved around a lot, from university to university,
for the rest of his life.

Ozan, I'm curious how indoctrination into Islam would help him from
being homeless? Do Muslims take in homeless people? Do they only help
Muslim homeless people?

The message of Islam has not much to do with tuning now Aaron, does it? It
was just me making a friendly suggestion to Bill, as he seemed to complain
about his economic condition regarding how it handicapped his ability to
propound his arguments.

You can always write to me privately, or tease me in hypertuning.

Oz.
