Argh - I haven't managed to make this work yet, because neither of my current machines had Csound on, and an attempt at a quick install was inconclusive (it looks like it's there, but it won't make any sound on the test pieces that come with the install, and it exits, closing all windows, as soon as I try to execute anything). And now what with a very busy couple of days I might not have time until mid-week to get to the bottom of the problem and make your program work. I'll be in touch again this week though. Why is there not a single installer for these open source programs? It is a
bore having no automation for starters...

Many open source programs even require the user to compile
them! Be thankful there are binaries. ;)

Yes, I have the same problem here with a quick install, and it doesn't work like you say because the environment variable isn't set. They promised us the installation was going to sort that out when version 5 was in development. You can run it from the command line to see the errors.

Once you have Csound installed properly, it Just Works. Honest.
