Contrary to what Yahya stated in a recent post,
I think the tuning system property of inversion
capability is an important tuning system evaluation
criteria, and is a proper topic for this list.

The inversional capability of a non-EDO symmetrical
tuning allows the generation of twice as much musical
raw material as a non-inversion-capable tuning, and an
EDO tuning allows N number of transpositions of the
inversion of each sub-scale, with N possible different
superscale tonalities generated by the N transposition
levels of the inversion "nested" against a fixed/"locked down"
prime form of each sub-scale.
