Conic Bellophone / London, December-11th

Monday 11 December(RoomCR310): J.A.Martin Salinas: 'The Conic Bellophone'

A new bellophone using an original bell made by deforming thick steel sheet into a conical shape. This particular version is tuned to the 96-tone EDO (range G3-G4).

This mallet percussion instrument will be played to show its timbral, microtonal and glissandi properties. There will be an opportunity for the audience to try the instrument.

A smaller range of the bellophone was presented last September. Sorry I had no chance to inform anybody at the time since I was having a very hectic time tuning, composing, travelling, etc.! ... but I put some information about it in this page:
