I have discovered a new way of visualizing 12EDO blues pentachords

and am e-mailing the resulting 10 scale diagrams for free in Microsoft

Word format. Just e-mail me at Bill.Flavell at GMail.com

Being at a total loss as to what a 12-EDO blues pentachord might be,
unless you mean pentachords derived from 12 equal division of
octaves in various asymmetrically placed locations in the pitch
continuum (which would be an intriguing concept), check your email!

These are 5-tone sub-scales of the 8-tone
12EDO blues mode 8-26 (scale step pattern
1-2-2-1-2-1-1-2) of 12EDO pitch class set
theory:

The "nesting" concept of mine is that the
prime and inversion forms of each blues
pentachord are aligned/sandwhiched next
to each other in the minimum possible
pitch/registral space, and the scales are
then played in the manner I outline in the
diagrams I sent you.

I also sent you invites to my 12EDO blues
nested sub-scales Yahoo groups, each of which
have MIDI file archives.

Thanks very much for the response and interest! :)
