Hey all,

I haven't seen anything here yet about Xenharmonikon 18,
but yes, after the long wait, it's finished and now
being sent out!

Since i live close enough to John Chalmers to stop by and
see him in person, i picked up my copy on Saturday. I have
two papers published in it: my "Treatise on Ancient Greek
Tetrachord Theory", and "Philolaus: The Earliest Greek
Tuning-theory", which in fact is the earliest extant
description of tuning in mathematical terms.

It's a massive tome, weighing in at 301 pages! Included
are such gems as George Secor and Dave Keenan on Sagittal
notation, Paul Erlich's infamous "Middle Path" paper,
Ivor Darreg's English translation of a Russian translation
of a Persian "Treatise on Music", and many other greatm
microtonal readings.

Get yours now while they last!

Ahem: and just *how* would you suggest people do that? (present
company excluded, as I too could pop over to John's...)

Cheers,
Jon

Awesome news! Thanks for posting. Is Frog Peak the place?

-Carl

PS- Did you get my off-list e-mails?

***Did anybody answer this? I didn't see it.

Yes, John Chalmers wrote to me recently and said they would be
purchased at Frog Peak. (Even though it's not listed yet in their
catalogue...) Sometimes he has extra copies that he just gives to
people, but this time he didn't have them. (Understandably, in my
view...)
