I just had the chance to listen to these brother. They are very... how
should I put it... Persian! Fit for the splendour of Kisras. It seems EDL is
very suitable for the music culture of Iran. Still, it would be interesting
if you could employ a dynamic kind of EDL for modulations...

Cordially,
Ozan

P.S. My name should really have no part in the discussion on EDL or ADL,
since I contributed almost nothing in that direction. Rather, you are the
one who developed these concepts.

Hi dear ozan

As the tastes are very different in Persian music we can say about very general rules , for example the minor third is smaller than 300 cent (for example up to -25 cent) and so the neutral third is according to size of it.
Persian music can be played in different systems but EDL is a good system for string instrument with fret and ......
This EDL will fit irregular temperaments and this is nature of Persian music played for example by tar traditionally. Not only Persian music but music of any other string instrument will fit with EDL system.
Every other systems will fit with a high accuracy in EDL rationally, like 12-EDO:

Hi my Dear brother

How is it in 1048-ADO when we cant have for example 115/114 or 4/3 in it?
You can use my ADO-EDL excel sheet for fret position calculation in :
http://240edo.tripod.com/equal_divisions_of_length.html

to test 1048-ADO.

And thanks for your hearing my setar.
