I�m wondering if any of you out there have happened upon any _non-specified_
microtonal components of commonplace fixed pitch instruments�

Take for example the tuned percussion @ voice #39 on the Alesis HR-16:B drum
machine� It would appear* to be tuned in groups of overtone octaves with -16
through 0** being 16 : 17 : 18 : 19 : 20 : 21 : 22 : 23 : 24 : 25 : 26 : 27
: 28 : 29 : 30 : 31 : 32, -15 through +2� 17 : 18 : 19 : 20 : 21 : 22 : 23 :
24 : 25 : 26 : 27 : 28 : 29 : 30 : 31 : 32 : 33 : 34, etc.

Has anybody else happened upon any such 'unadvertised anomalies'?

*I contacted Alesis tech support (support@alesis1.usa.com) to inquire about
how the (-16 through +15) samples were tuned� They said they did not know!
My �calculations� were done by ear and the (occasional) assistance of a 15$
guitar tuner.

**The incremental pitch numbers on the Alesis are arranged in a number line
from -16 through (+)15 and as such (voice #39) would correspond to harmonics
16 through 47 thus giving eight complete octaves (@ 16 - 23) and a ninth
that abruptly stops @ 47/24.
