Brian, thanks for your comments re guitars. I will
be playing a 31tet guitar in the near future and
assuming its not the most frustrating experience
of my life may eventually join those who
have a "few" guitars in various tunings. Yes that
leaves a huge expanse of microtonal universe to
other processes (or other people).

Jeff, I have tried fretless before and have a
fretless neck lying around for one of my guitars.
I found that this had the potential to be an
expressive instrument, however, without serious
shedding, I would never be "dead on" in any
intonation! I may resurrect that instrument,
perhaps try to equip it with some flexible
fretting system but I'm such a poor
home-handiman that this is doubtful.

dB : you are using some JI guitar from Catler
these days? Is this one of the ones on the
microtones site or something more exotic?

It's the protoyype of his 62-tone/65-fret G&L. It
was made at about the same time.
