Practical guitar considerations

So I have this old acoustic guitar and I've decided to rip off all the
frets and contrive a way to put new ones on. I'm going to use an equal
temperament, probably 15, 19, or 22.

Any advice on how to put the new frets on? I'm really lazy and I don't
know much about woodworking (i.e. I can hardly tell a mitre saw from a
belt sander), but I got an idea to just tie nylon string around the
neck and make movable frets. Will that work?

Also, what open string tunings do people use with their microtonal
guitars? For 19, you can use the standard 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 5/4, 4/3, and
for 15, you can tune all the strings 4/3 apart and the outer strings
are still two octaves apart, which is kinda trippy, but what about 22?
I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to play it before I decide
on a temperament.

My vote: definitely 19 or 22.

I read on a page describing restoring an antique guitar about sizing
parts first with something soluble so that repairs with epoxy could be
removed later, they used hot hide glue but maybe you can use a
hardware store item like shellac. I shaped the nut and saddle piece on
my Framus high enough to use tied frets but I haven't yet.
