Dear brother, I insist that you agree to this version of the poem on your
webpage:

Microtonality...
An eternal ocean of sound engulfs me.
Consonances... what about them?
Do they matter anymore?
Oh, how they make my ears sore!
At this strange haven of muses, I wonder,
Over classical counterpoint ponder...
Major, minor, where are they?
What happened to chords in an octave?
Where on earth has harmony gone to?
Viper scales shed an alien-tone,
How it rattles my inner bone!
And coil around my head like a turban,
Temper, temper, nasty one!
Alas, it is senseless, confused...
Pitches are now together fused!
Commas, dieses, schismas roam
Screeching during a crazy jam
In an endless staggering beat,
For all perpetuity.
Vibrations...
Can you feel it?

Yes, Oz, this is why we love you!

BTW, your performance in the Secor5_23TX.scl was ...
interesting. The low notes had a tendency to growl a
little, I thought - don't know whether to atttribute this
to the timbre of your instrument or to the tuning.

I think I'd prefer to hear the more "brilliant"
played with a smaller volume of sound. In particular,
the Secor rational temperament with Gene's ratios,
that you called "wild". Could you do one for us, for
comparison purposes?

Yahya

Maybe I ought to revise it a little. Here:

Microtonality;
A vast ocean of sound for eternity,
Engulfing the soul from every side,
Leaving nowhere to run, no place to hide!
At this strange haven of muses, we wonder,
Over classical counterpoint ponder:
Major? minor? Enough with the rave,
No longer fusty chords in an octave!
Consonances ought matter no more,
Woe, how they make our ears sore...
Commas, dieses, schismas galore,
Filling stages from ceiling to floor,
Constitute a trend worthy of applause,
That we venerate for a very good cause!
Viper scales, alien tones,
Rampant relative frequency zones,
Untempered beasts, unruly pitches...
These we desire, despite the "glitches".
Hearing all this is believing,
Welcome to the world of tuning!

Oz.
