Collaboration spam from Korean in Eastern Russia

Someone forward a similar email to me via Hawaii a couple of weeks ago, asking me if I could make any sense of it.
(Of course his request to Hawaii was to travel to USA, instead of England)
Have other tunaniks also been spammed by this "tuner"?

I don't understand his tuning specification: es fis etc.

Does anyone know anything more about or understand this tuning?

I only get mails form Nigeria and the many many U.S. accounts I seem to
have that need some kind of maintenance.

He uses the (apparently not only) German naming system, where everything
that ends in -is is sharp and everything that ends in -es is flat,
except for h=b and b=bb. Assuming his figures are frequencies, some of
his intervals are

a-bb: 84,47 ¢
a-b: 200 ¢
a-d: 470,78 ¢

"Interesting."

Carlos, Hermano,

I may not be able to explain the diagrams, but the
'es' and 'fis' you are wondering about are examples of
the German system of musical notation, which is also
used in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Finland, some or
all of the Slavic countries, and probably in Hungary,
Rumania and perhaps Greece.

In our French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and
English system of musical notation we have
A,B,C,D,E,F,G along with the sharps, signified with
'#', e.g. A#, and the flats, signified with something
like a small 'b', e.g. Bb. In addition, we have
double sharps, e.g. A##, and double flats, e.g. Bbb,
and so on. This much we all know.

In the German system they have A,B,C,D,E,F,G, and H.
Yes, H. For some historical reason, learned a long
time ago but which I've since forgotten, they treat
both Bb and B as what we might call Single Natural
Letter Notes. For those who adhere to the German
system, our (Non-Single Natural Letter Note) Bb is
their (Single Natural Letter Note) B and our (Single
Natural Letter Note) B is their (Single Natural Letter
Note) H. In our more simple (and rational?) system,
our Single Natural Letter Notes A,B,C,D,E,F, and G
always stand, and can only stand, for a Single Natural
Letter White Key on the piano. Somewhat surprisingly,
the Deutsch system is not so straightforward.

For flats the German system adds s or es to the
natural letter, e.g. our Eb is Es, and our Gb is Ges.
I read in an old Groves Dictionary of Music and
Musicians that the Germans, because they use H for our
B, occasionally write Hes as an alternate form for
their Bb. For double flats the German system adds
ses, or eses to the natural letter, e.g. our Ebb
becomes Eses, and our Gbb becomes Geses.

For sharps the German system adds 'is' to the natural
letter, e.g. our C# becomes their Cis, and our F#
becomes their Fis. For double sharps the German
system adds an x to the natural letter, e.g. our C##
becomes their Cx, and our F## becomes their Fx, though
I have seen Cisis and Fisis, and even Cisisis and
Fisisis, on German-system lattice diagrams.

Upon review, I'm wondering if the Russian inquiry has
anything at all to do with notation, German or
otherwise!
