12EDO Pitch Class Set Table Conventions:

Just a note to mention what I think is a very important
notational convention which is used in the Fortean 12EDO
pitch class set table:

...and that is that the sets/subscales are shown
horizontally left-to-right WITH THE LARGEST SCALE
STEP INTERVAL ALWAYS TO THE FAR RIGHT, i.e.
in the rotation that takes up the least pitch/registral
space.

I think that would also be a good convention to
adopt in the graphical notation of alternative tunings,
although I notice that the Scala format lists the scale
steps vertically.

The Fractal Tune Smithy software
( http://www.tunesmithy.connectfree.co.uk/ ) also
illustrates the tunings horizontally, if I remember
correctly.
