Having done it myself just a month ago, i highly recommend
having Thai dinner with Neil, seeing his microtonal guitar
collection, and meeting his weasel. :)

Ozan, I misspelled your name as Osan. Now I have it
right. I look forward to meeting Neil, befriending
his cats, playing his 19 tone banjo, eating a Thai
dinner (Kow Raat Naa) with hot peanut sauce - Kop Koon
(Thank You), and meeting Winfred the famous weasel. I
made up the Winfred part, and the last weasel I met
bit my chin, drawing blood! I'll send Neil a
photocopy of Siem Terpstra's paper on the 22 Srutis.
If anyone else is interested, let me know.

Have it Good,

Jon,

Please fill me in. What does TMI de-acronymize as?

Too Much Information.

People posting on internet lists are fond of using
acronyms like this -- some of the most common ones are:

BTW = by the way

AFAIK = as far as i know

IMHO = in my humble opinion

IMNSHO = in my not-so-humble opinion

LMAO = laughing my ass off

ROTFLMAO = rolling on the floor laughing my ass off

For a Dictionary of more than you'll ever need or use:

Hi Mark,

I see that Monz already clued you to TMI and all that. I was actually
most amused by the phrase in the message as a euphemism, as in "why
don't you come up to my place and meet my weasel?" :)

OK, enough bandwidth wasting - back to ratios and wedgies...

Cheers,
Jon

I was kinda wondering about that one too.

But Neil means it literally, referring to his pets:
he has a bunch of cats, and a ferret which he calls
his "weasel".

Dear Mark,

What's the mention of a teensy letter between colleagues?

Myself, I like cats, snakes, crocs, sharks and especially majestic trees
more than anything, compared to most humans.

Yes, your mention of Terpstra's paper on 22 srutis in a 53-tET system
reminds me very much of Yekta's 22 tone per octave model that starts with 0,
1, 4, 5, 8, 9 `commas` respectively. I would be delighted if you could send
it.

Cordially,
Oz.
