What do you mean by "universal"? It's probably completely different
from what I meant in connection with 152, where supporting my
decatonic scales was one of the criteria.

That's what I meant too, although I suspect we have very different
ideas of what the important "tuning schemes" are . . .

171 has a lot going for it, speaking as someone whose composed in it,
a claim few can make. But of course if you don't think the likes of
schismatic or ennealimmal are important tuning schemes you will
clearly like it less.
