Another "gotcha" :

E-mu ESI2000 allows u to set up full keyboard tuning templates with a
resolution of 1 cent (+/- 100 cents). But only responds to MIDI note no.s
21-108, just 76 keyz.

The E-mu E series, like the E5000, respond to all 128 MIDI note numbers,
but have a tuning resolution of only 1.56 cents. Bummer.

From the PDF manual for the E5000 :

Fine Tuning :
This function allows you to change the tuning of the voice in 1/64
semitone intervals (approx. 1.56 cents). The fine tuning range is 1
semitone.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
This is probably the same resolution that they have in their sound modules.

An otherwise extremely powerful sampler that is a let down for
microtonalists.

Is there NO sampler around (other than Kyma) that responds to all 128 MIDI
notes, AND has a full 128 note tuning tables (or some such thing) with a
resolution of 1 cent or better ?

The ones I don't know about r the Yamaha A3000 & the sampler section of the
Korg Triton. The A3000 is being replaced by an A4000 & A5000 so we'll have
to wait & see about those.
