No offence intended to Gene - it was a reference to the modifications that he had made in Wikipedia.

Hi Gene;

If you read the edits that Gene had made to Lucy Tuning Wiki page, you'll understand the source of my reference.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LucyTuning

"The LucyTuned perfect fifth is 0.0384 cents sharper than the fifth of 88 tone equal temperament, and a mere 0.01015 cents flatter than 3/10-comma meantone,
and therefore is audibly indistinguishable from either as the just noticeable difference for pitch is five cents for single pitches. "

Since the holidays will soon be upon us and the tuning list is getting a little repetitive and boring;
I thought I'd wind Gene up a little; and initiate a hot flame war;-)

But he doesn't seem to bet rising to the occasion;-(

I'll have to find someone else whose more fun to play "flame/blame wars" with.

Enjoy your breaks.

Best wishes

You can't blame me for the five cents business; I by no means buy the
theory we can't distinguish meantones unless they have fifths
differing by five cents. But a difference of 0.0384, with no beats to
help you out, is another matter.
