Thanks Jon for the link to Cantor; impressive.

I watched the demo video, and it seems that it will also run as an AU plug-in
which is what I would need to use it with Logic.

It is much more sophisticated than VocalWriter; yet also much more costly.
I like the idea of using Scala with it; that it can be played "live"; and import lyrics.

It looks as though it has to go on my "get one day" list; yet below the new Melodyne 3.

I am only really using voice synth for "guide" vocal tracks, so the cost/benefit of Cantor is
less enticing for me.
Melodyne 3, will enable me to also microtune audio files and tweak both VocalWriter audio and
recorded vocals plus other monophonic audio tracks to exactly what I want at final mix quality.

Cantor would eventually save me time, but since I have already completed most of the synth vocals for the current album,
it'll have to wait until a future vocal synth project can justify the re-learning time and cost for my purposes.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, seems like what you've got is certainly working for you, mainly
wanted to point out some other options for the readership. Virsyn's
products aren't real cheap, that is true, but I can attest to the
quality, as I've been using Tera 2 for a couple years now, and it
really is a great instrument.

Anyhow, looking forward to the day you completely replace your guide
tracks. Hope it happens before I happen to be walking in Highgate!

Cheers,
Jon
