San Diego State University/University of CA San Diego Music Departments?...

...I just moved to the San Diego State University area
of San Diego and was wondering if anybody on the list is
located in that area, or if anybody on the list is associated
with the San Diego State or UC San Diego music departments.

My specialty is 12TET pre-compositional music theory,
particularly my 13-note all-interval-class/all-contour
melody-generating algorithm, the "nesting" of 12TET asymmetrical
subscales, and using my contour choice ordering algorithm as a means
of creating melody-centric alternative tuning systems.

I've been living in San Diego since 2000. Not particularly
associated with academia, other than the fact that i know
a lot of folks in the music department at UCSD. I used to
hang out there a lot a couple of years ago, but haven't
been lately. But i am closely connected with Jonathan Glasier
at his Sonic Arts Gallery.

We should get together sometime. I'll be out of town until
December 12, maybe we can hook up after that.

John Chalmers is nearby, in Rancho Santa Fe.
