Hi Ozan,

I've moved to mostly 'lurk' mode for the time being,
as I've a lot of work to finish by end February, that
won't happen if I spend too long on mailing list
correspondence. I continue to follow MakeMicroMusic
and respond more frequently, and to lurk here, but
have unsubscribed from tuning-math as I'm learning
nothing from it.

But I did feel sufficiently provoked by the kind of
rudeness from "traktus" (that would never attract us)
that I felt I just had to rebuke him or her!

Meanwhile, I am still learning a lot from the list; in
particular, monz's recent posts of two chapters of
Boethius' in English translation will be very useful
when I resume my battle with you over what to call
"modal" and what to call "tonal"! :-)

Monz,

Thank you very much for the translations! Will they
also be up on the TonalSoft site, or should I save
these messages out of the digests?

Regards,
Yahya

You should save them. I've already started my
"Boethius webpages" project, and it's a big one
(almost a whole encyclopedia in itself) ...
but those Bower translations are copyrighted material,
so i won't be able to upload them as webpages until
i've chopped up Bower's text and surrounded it with
tons of diagrams and commentary of my own.
