My dear brother, I sympathize with your feelings and agree that fanatical clericalism is the root of many evils in Islam. Equally disconcerting is the fact that secularism turns regularly into a totaliterean tool for `fuhrer-worship` in predominantly Islamic countries. Not that it is any different in theocratical ones! In Turkey too we had our own share of muslim-communist clashes during the cold war. There were lootings and murders... possibly the darkest days of our nation. There was much controversy and ethnic discrimination concerning the music industry as well. State-monopoly over citizens turned them into a bunch of cowardly sheep on a leash. The fact that all this happened in a `secular state` is proof enough that `Islamic Shariah` is not to blame as the culprit for the instigation of fundamentalism as some ignorants assume. It is rather a trait of latent, under-developed and secluded countries administered by blind, bigotted people who are predisposed to harness hatred against the `other` and suppress the populace by lies, suberfuge and abhorrent propaganda, not realizing that they turn themselves into pawns and underlings of wicked masterminds. It is astonishing that *Ahriman's servants* still make grandiose claims as to being righteous and find significant public support! .

The world suffers in the hands of the damned who wish to impose their whims on everyone else. Allah's revenge shall be terrible of course. I correlate recent ecological disasters with my belief in this perspective.

Yet, one must realize first, that the greatest terrorists are regimes that wrongfully arrogate the will of the masses. I find little difference between Al-Qaida and militant governments aligned with the marauding `Allies` with so much blood on their hands. In fact, I sympathize to an extent with the `so-called terrorists` (since when did guerilla warfare become terrorism anyway?), particularly in Chechneya and elsewhere who are fighting for the freedom of their lands, families and retribution. Who shall we actively condemn first? The insane, or the distraught?

Yes... a free world, free of oppurtunistic politics, free of ignominy and horrors of unjust wars...

Cordially,
Ozan

Damn all the terrorrist from all of the world! The world now is in a dark situation . I'm a muslim but believe that the islamic radicalism and islamic revolution in iran is the root of all these conditions. If you study the real history of iran you will see that america and western countries made shah to go and khomeini to come against ussr . I never forgive those countries who made islamic revolution , al-qaide , support saddam for their benefits and now their benefits has changed . so they say that they must go.but what about people of the world ? living between sword of eastern and western radicalism in a free world !!!!

That's an invitation to chitchat and gossip if I ever saw one. Ok! I'll
oblige. This should be fun.

Just so that it is clear (instead of people just telling you to take a
discussion somewhere else, not even considering if you know anything
about that 'else' place...): metatuning was set up a few years ago as
a place to either move discussions, or start new ones, that have
veered off of the topic of microtuning. It is also common to post
subjects there that you think some of the people in the tuning
community might be interested in, but are a bit off-topic for tuning.

Be aware that only a small sub-set of the members of tuning belong to,
or read, metatuning. But it is handy, and can keep down the noise
level on the tuning list.

Cheers,
Jon

Appreciated my dear colleague. So I shall safely assume that we can all share our sentiments there.

I responded to Ozan's message (snipped) over on metatuning....

P.S. Ozan, if you don't want to respond to an 'infidel', then don't.

On more thing....America created a lot, nay most, of this darkness,
infortunatly, by short-term thinking (supporting puppet governments and the
Islamic revolution because thy gained 'allies' in the fight against
Communism)

It's coming back to bite us in the ass.
