a small matter of paid work, and various replies needed

Hi all,

I thank those who have generously replied to my various posts over
the last week or so. Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to respond
in anything but a superficial way at present, as I need to spend the
available time making a little money ... :-) So I will try to catch up
with my correspondence, and answer any open questions, on the
coming weekend.
