Carl...you mentioned that humans hunted the large land animals on 3 continents to extinction 60,000 years ago....coincidentally, I am currently reading a book by Vine Deloria on that very subject, "Red Earth, White Lies." He makes convincing arguements that, perhaps, things didn't happen in quite that fashion, just wanted to mention it in case you're interested...best...HHH
