Piano tuned to Persian scale

I just listened to a piece featuring piano and tonbak on
RadioDarvish.com. The piano sounds like it was at least partially
retuned for Persian music. Is this a common practice in Iran? The
piano playing sounded like what little Persian santur playing I've
heard so far.

I thought about posting this to MMM, but the Middle Eastern
representation of microtonalists seems to be here.
