On the FAQ for Vocaloid:

http://www.vocaloid.com/en/faq.html

I find the following:

Q13: Is it possible to import a standard MIDI file (SMF) created with
other DTM software?
A13. Yes, it is possible to import the melody through a SMF. After
importing the melody, you can add lyrics by using the VOCALOID Editor.

Q14: Is it possible to synthesize singing that does not conform to 12
equal temperament, for example, in a pure temperament? Is it also
possible to make glissandos?
A14. By using the Pitch Bend, you can synthesize vocal sounds that are
out of equal temperament. You also can make glissandos with the Pitch
Bend controls.

Sounds worth further investigaion.

I have Miriam but finding time to use it is another matter.

Also have Melodyne, which allows you to retune audio to the nearest
cent by dragging it on a piano-roll view. Also haven't taken the
time to use it yet.

An embarrassment of riches. :(
