Dear monzo

I have scaned the page of article:

DR.MEHDI BARKESHLI , " PERFECT SCALE OF FARABI AND HIS PROPOSED SCALES".
IRANIAN MUSIC , A COLLECTION OF ARTICLES,P.241,WWW.PPOIR.COM

In this article after an argument about usage of logarithmic mind by
farabi for 12 equal temperament , barkeshli discussed that farabi
divided octave into 144 logarithmic unit which if we call the unit farab
then:

Octave is 144 farab , perfect fifth is 84 ,....., and semitone is 12
farab and so on.

Nearly about 900 year after farabi , Joseph Saveur proposed '' savart ''
.

It is also remarkable that farabi has proposed equal temperament (wich
he called it "TAGHSIM-E-MOTANASEB" which is equal to ''EQUAL DIVISION'')
Nearly about 700 year befor ''bach period'' .
