Shohé Tanaka and lattice history

If you look at Monz's reproduction of a page from Tanaka here

it is clear that Tanaka was depicting 5-limit pitch classes as a
*symmetrical* lattice. Is this the earliest that anyone is known to
have done this? I'm still wondering about the 7-limit.
