numerological coincidences, but thinking of the tuning lister who
wrote somewhere that "if you work with five limit ratios - the fifth
partial in the harmonic series C g D a E - then you have syntonic
comma inflections of the pythagorean intervals..."

isn't it wonderful that the closed position version of the above
sequence, the whole tone cluster C - D - E (10/9 and 9/8), cross
multiplies to the syntonic comma 81/80?
