PITCH CD EARLY-Bach in Werckmeiser III

Hello fellow tuners!

I thought I should underscore that the new PITCH CD titled EARLY (P-200202)
is the very recording that supports all the wordy discussions that have taken
place on the list re Bach's tuning.

The pieces were chosen to illustrate how the tuning and the music and the
playing interesect for a superior result. Besides, you can hear Werckmeister as
a composer for the first time with his Christmas cantata. Besides renewable
listening pleasure, the tuning enhances the composer's message and the AFMM
players are uniquely qualified to render it. I play alto recorder in Brandenburg
#1 and bassoon in uncle Johann Michael Bach's concerto "Ach, bleib..." for
orchestra and vocal quartet.

I hope that once one hears the CD they can make some comments about it. CD
