Hello everyone!

Quick questions.........

What is the temperament and cents
of the standard Gibson and Fender
guitars? What is the temperament
of these 12 tone guitars?

Thanks!
Happy New Year!

Like most questions, this turns out to be a somewhat
complicated.

First, there's the open tuning, which is up to the
player.

On many electric guitars the bridge is adjustable by
the player.

The player can also bend notes when he plays.

Strings bend and perhaps stretch slightly when
fretted, and this depends on their thickness,
material, how far from the nut they are being
fretted, how high the action is, the technique of
the player fretting them...

All this adds up to inconsistency in the tuning.

But one can ask what the approximate tuning is,
and that is clearly 12-tone equal temperament.

On can also measure the exact positions of the frets.
It probably varies from model to model, and depending
on Fender and Gibson quality control, from guitar to
guitar. Probably somewhere on the web someone has
tried measuring them...
