Hi all

Thanks to dear ozan and others because of opening such items related to
persian music (because of the very near structural and intervalic
relations ).

I have a question:

Can we assume a scale with hybrid intervalic structure? for example a
scale as mixture of two or more K-edo or with different m/n meantone
structure or anything else?

Is there anything in tuning literature about ? or new topic?

Hello Mohajeri Shahin!
Since the great writings of Persian Theory as well as it practice has bee in using ratios except for an exception or two, there is no reason not to keep to a Just Intonational system that allows for constant revision and adaptability.
To propose any one system to this great tradition would do nothing more than reduce its diversity into a homogeneous mess that when working against any type of drone, would sound incorrect. This tradition is also based on tetrachoral scales and to have a meantone second would be completely out of the language being proposed.

Selamunaleykum dear Shahin, it is a pleasure to see a kinsman from the middle east who is a professional musician. (Where have you been all this time?) At this juncture, the alternate tuning list bears witness to a multi-cultural get-together it seems.

Though I am not qualified enough to answer your question, I intervened on behalf of your music. I have trouble locating some samples, can you tell me how I can reach them?

Also, is there a releavent theoretical work on Persian Music that you can recommend? I wish to stay clear of biased works bent on nationalist propaganda that denounce other cultures as inferior. (This is a dread in Turkey as you might well know).

Cordially,
Ozan Yarman
