The origin of the seven notes

Hi ALL, I have come to know this for the first time; so I thought I should share this with you, though it is not strictly tuning-related:

According to "Science of Vedic Meters and Musical Notes", the seven svaras (notes) represent the seven sounds produced in the nature during those seven periods of tropical movements. [www.vedascience.com Publication #16.]

I have not read this book. I wonder if someone from us who has, can elaborate.
