I'm currently working on a Tuning & Temperament multi-media
presentation. Because I'm on sabbatical leave and don't have
a computer lab at my disposal, I need to know if there are any computer
programs available which would allow me to record precise frequencies
for specific intervals from my computer. I wish to embed
these sounds into my presentation for each example, a sample of which
can been seen at www.peabody.jhu.edu/~fschock/sabb/samplePT.htm .
Any suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Pythagorean and JI MIDI files may be easily produced with the program
"Zarlino", freely downloadable at :

Hope that helps.

You might want to chat with Brian McLaren. (I can get you his address if
you're interested.) He did a rather extensive web-based presentation on the
topic. He hasn't posted it to the best of my knowledge, since he doesn't
believe in phones and thus doesn't have any web-page space anywhere.
